Note there will be no Short race in 2018 - back in 2019
Short only in comparison to the full Darren Holloway Memorial Race. This is still a good challenge and includes some of the best ridge running the Lake District has to offer.
Sharing the start with the full route, this is flagged to the fells at Lanthwaite Green, but once on the tops there is much route choice between checkpoints, the map just shows one option. Just remember to save a little bit for that final pull onto Mellbreak. Descent from Mellbreak is via the col between North and South summit - the route off the North is out of bounds and much slower anyway.
Much needed refreshments at the end.
