Publish results

Results go up as a spreadsheet you export from whatever you used to time the race. Uploading them publishes them at the same time — unlike editing the race itself, there's no separate publish step to remember.

Preparing the file

Save your results as CSV (in Excel or Numbers: File → Export, or Save As and choose CSV). The first row must be a header naming the columns:

  • Pos — finishing position
  • Name — the runner's name
  • Club
  • Category — such as MSEN, FV50
  • Time — such as 1:23:45 or 43:21

If you timed intermediate checkpoints, add a column per checkpoint after those. Column order doesn't matter, but the checkpoint name in the header row must match the checkpoint name in the race.

Uploading

  1. Open your race for editing and go to Records & Results.
  2. Click the year you want, then its Results tab.
  3. Under Upload results, choose your CSV file.
  4. Click Import CSV.

Checking what arrived

You'll get a summary: how many performances were imported, how many checkpoint times, and how many rows were skipped. If anything looked odd there's a warnings section listing the row numbers and what was wrong with them — a time that couldn't be read, say, or a missing name.

Warnings are worth reading but not alarming: the rest of the file still imported. Fix those rows in your spreadsheet and upload the corrected file again.

Importing replaces that year's results rather than adding to them. So re-uploading a corrected file is the right way to fix a mistake — you won't end up with everyone listed twice.

Afterwards

The finishers are live on the race's results page as soon as the import succeeds. If you later change something about that year and want the public page refreshed, use Re-publish beside the import button.

You can also attach the original results document — a PDF or spreadsheet — under Results document, for anyone who wants the file as you produced it.
